I just wanted to take a week or two off and get to do some stuff with friends and poof a month was gone, then i started hammering on stuff that broke spectacularly apart and required a lot of time to fix but it was worth it! rows · Blackdragon: Alphas, Betas, and Women in Pop Culture, Marriage and Divorce: . Black Dragon Press presents 'Traces' — On the occasion of Black Dragon Press' 5th anniversary we're very excited to present ‘Traces’, an artbook featuring the work of 18 contemporary artists from around the world currently working in the fields of fine art, comics & illustration. The idea for the book is a simple one.
Its been discussed publicly on Facebook and privately. I am not going to beat a dead horse. Your instructor was a pretty amazing guy and you talked about him in your book, would you share that story?
Several of the Bujinkan instructors I trained under worked in security and law enforcement. One worked as a guard in Rykers Island and told many stories of using the stuff in real life.
There were a couple of other instructors they had brief brushes with adversaries on the streets also with interesting stories to tell. Now to be honest, I wanted to get that story out there because regardless of the art, he seemed like a very good guy and a highly skilled martial artist.
I want to use him as an example of what the good Bujinkan Instructors look like So can we agree to leave all that under the bridge and talk about you and China?
Well, that particular instructor was very humble and friendly. He obviously had a lot of real life experience and, was not puffed up with false prestige.
Sure I love to share my adventures here with anyone who is willing to listen. Now, lets start with why you went to China?
And how long you been there? I always wanted to train in Asia. I grew up watching kung fu movies on channel five.
I would put on a karate gi after and, go into my backyard in Long Island, New York do kata and imagine I was one of those guys in the movies.
I got my first chance to take a two week trip there to train. Loved it, met a friend while there and, made the plan.
I have been living here about eleven years already. What is it like coming back to the US when, you have been living in China so long?
I feel really nervous. The people their behavior everything. The thing that makes me most nervous is how easy it is to get into a conflict with people in the states.
Very different from China. Have you met Jet Li yet? What's he like? I never met Jet Li. I did do some extra work on films in the past but, never got to meet any of these big wigs.
What are your instructors like in China? They have all been really nice and open with me. I will only train with teachers whose personality suits mine.
That goes for in the states as well. Now you wrote an article for this blog , detailing the differences in how the training in China is so different from the US would explain that here?
In the states there is more real life violence. Here they fight as in Sanda but it is mostly for a living like a job. Very few people get into fights on the streets here.
The motivation is different. The basics are very solid in China, they have more patience and discipline you can say.
Also usually there is less cross training. Both are good and have their benefits. So the Chinese arts you have studied do stress Sparring Correct?
Since I have been in China I have studied three system each has its own story. Baguazhang in Beijing.
I took private lessons and every once in a while I would have a partner and do some application. Back in the state where I did Bagua Zhang they spared every week, and did special drills as well.
I trained with professional fighters the majority of the time and, the wrestling sparring was very rough. I got my ass handed to me weekly.
Within Songshan Shaolin all the school do Sanda as part of their curriculum. School levels in Sanada vary. I train once a week with full time Sanda fighters and, also spar with my traditional Shi fu students.
Sanda is like most other forms of kickboxing but, also has throws. I also had a couple of real incidents but, we can save those stories for another time.
And how do they feel about Grappling? They are not all limited to just striking as seen in many forms of competition like Sport Karate? Sanada has throws but, many schools these days seem to be neglecting them and, focusing on purely kickboxing aspect of it.
Qin Na which has always been an integral part of Shaolin and, other styles of kung fu, has become very rare around here.
Luckily I have found an old school teacher that knows the stuff well. Qin Na has all kinds of locks holds and escapes, even some ground fighting.
Haven't tried it in years but adventure is good. I always scan for viruses before installing and did that but there is nothing wrong with the file I didn't expect there to be.
So my question is is this normal? Am I supposed to rename the file back to exe so that I can install? I didn't see any mention of this on the blog so confused.
Also important to note that I got the new Windows update early this morning and that could be part of the issue.
I have never seen this happen before so slightly puzzled. I downloaded both the 3 hours old version what I was going for and the one below that just in case it was a file issue.
By using Edge browser which has no ad blocking on it for me I could get the exe file to download. I am still getting plenty of warning messages from both Edge and Windows Defender though.
I got curious and downloaded this viewer. I did get an exe finally by using Edge browser. Everything is probably fine but I just got way to many warnings to make me feel comfortable.
I have never had those with any other viewer. So I think I will wait a bit and try again sometime in the future. Appreciate your comment though.
I got a clean download and good install with firefox and a security setup that's probably about as paranoid as yours is. Apart from the obligatory "I dont want to run this because it's a new file and I dont know the publisher" from windows, and the usual digital dopeslap from my keyboard to make it do as I darn well tell it to, no flags or warnings.
I guess I should test another viewer download and see if I get the same warnings. While going through preferences i've also removed a couple broken options, and added several new things.
You can now find seveal "open" buttons in Preferences - Viewer. These will open the cache, logs and viewer log file directories respectively, this should make it a lot easier to get to your settings, cache and viewer logs, especially for me since i don't have to explain you how to get there.
I've also added delete buttons as you can see, to clean your viewer logs, you should probably do that from time to time. Every week or so.
While doing a few rounds through the code i've also cleaned up some messes here and there, simplified some code parts and fixed a couple other issues.
Mostly reported issues such as not being able to load and delete presets with a name exactly like a default preset. Doing so also magically fixed it seems the issue with name encoding.
From what i've tested, it seems to be once more like it doesn't matter anymore what the name of your windlight presets is, encoded or not, or both.
You should now be able to load them all again, if you still find one that's causing issues, please report it to me.
With that the import function slowly loses usefulness but i've not forgotten about it, instead i've actually fixed it and it should again work, even better it now can import both new EEP and old Windlight presets for whatever reason you'd want to import already imported EEP presets.
I'm also thinking of doing a multi-import Now the interesting bits about this update. Quite a few of you probably noticed by now that something is They do not match up when rotating your camera and they do not reflect alpha masked objects.
Well, needless to say they will now do exactly that! Screw dem bugs! There's also a hidden little new feature, you can find it when previewing any animation.
You'll find a slider there now that allows you to go through your animation and jump to any point in it, even in between keyframes!
This is the very first step to an animator tool. There are lots and lots more small improvements everywhere but they are far too insignificant and too many to list here.
So i wont, but you can check out the changelog to see all of them. Lastly, i'm aware that Bitbucket discontinued support for Mercurial Repositories, i didn't expect them to lock down the entire repository though, just delete the source or something.
This means i have to move a lot of stuff, including some formal stuff for the TPVD inclusion to here unless that's not okay, in which case i'll have to seek out other places to put it.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused regarding downloads, this is why i had to push the update today and get as many things done as possible in a short amount of time, so expect possibly broken things.
As always, thank you very much for your support although the patronage has been declining lately.
If i missed anyone, please please please do tell me! Thursday, July 16, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3. Some more bugfixes for some reported issues, namely the Fixed Environment editor breaking upon changing settings too fast and having increasingly longer freezes with growing preset lists when switching between presets.
Really nothing fancy yet. Wednesday, July 8, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3. I guess windlight transitions were broken. Fixes'n stuff. Tuesday, July 7, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3.
It's getting frustrating to fix one bug just to add 10 more which when fixed break what you've fixed before, this has been going on for 4 days now.
I hope this was the last of it and yes i know that presets may behave weird or reset under very special conditions when mixing local and inventory presets, i simply cannot fix it as the previous 3 updates clearly proved, i keep breaking whatever i've fixed before so i'm giving up on it.
I'll simply leave it as is right now and we have to live with the fact that a very certain order of operating the editors causes your Windlight to be reset.
EEP is getting worse and more complicated with every day i spend looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Monday, July 6, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3.
And more bughisses and feedback stuff. Editors should now display the preset name you are working with again , inventory presets are listed in the presets dropdown again , an RLVa crash was fixed, the RLVa restrictions window finally displays restrictions again after many years , the group join fee shouldn't be cut off anymore and the some wonky behavior with the RLVa camera preset should now properly behave again.
If you still find yourself unable to change the camera presets you most likely either have something attached that has taken control of your camera and forces your camera into a certain position, which might block presets and more likely you are being blocked by the RLVa restriction setcam, which prevents you from switching camera presets or alter them.
In both cases you should deattach everything. Not just your HUDs, absolutely everything. However before you do go into the RLVa menu Dragon - RLVa and select Restrictions and check whether a restriction to your camera is applied via setcam and which object is doing so it will display the name if its an attachment or the UUID if its something inworld.
In the case of an RLVa attachment you'll have to detach it and relog unless you can toggle the setcam restriction somewhere in said attachment, i doubt it though.
Sunday, July 5, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3. There were bugs that i snaked in. I hissed them out and now the Viewer can slither on.
Water specularity changing randomly. Up and down arrows not working anymore in dropdowns. Preset checkboxes not checking anymore. Inventory presets ignoring windlight transition times.
Saturday, July 4, Black Dragon 64x - Update 3. Phew, this took long. I just wanted to take a week or two off and get to do some stuff with friends and poof a month was gone, then i started hammering on stuff that broke spectacularly apart and required a lot of time to fix but it was worth it!
This update brings you a special little something that i decided last minute to add haha! Security Guard , security guard service in delhi. A lot of people and some of you may live under the misconception that a security officer uses very specialized equipments, but the truth is that they use the exact same equipment used by most police officers.
In fact, the most basic equipment that security services companies in India provide to employees is a Baton.
